Profile — Anthony Staples
Before joining RCKa in 2015, Tony worked at some of the most innovative community-focused studios in Europe, including Svendborg Architects in Copenhagen, Jan Kattein Architects and Metaphor multidisciplinary design studios in London.
He is currently working with the GLA and a diverse range of stakeholders in South Kilburn to develop a new community centre and enterprise hub for Brent Council.
Anthony is an associate lecturer on the Spatial Practices course at Central St Martins and co-leads Studio 8, an undergraduate design unit concerned with the radical potential of building as an opportunity to respond to economic, social and political change. In 2016 he travelled to Ghana with community research funding from the RIBA and Arts Council England, which culminated in a collaborative multimedia research project exhibited at the London Festival of Architecture, entitled ‘Echoes of Accra‘.
